Designing and handling a central square during Aarhus Festival
A Tribute to the Cultural and Creative Clusters of Aarhus
The Challenge. The annual Aarhus Festival wanted to create a cental spot in the city which oozed of diversity, coolness, delicious street food, cold drinks, funky tunes and much more. A place anyone, regardless of age and prefrences, could enjoy during the week; Cluster Square.
The Kickoff. We came up with an unique event design, created a brand new visual identity, planned a nine-days culture programme for the Square and implemented the online platform www.clustersquare.dk Further more Culture Works executed the projects and was in charge of every subject coonected to the square during all nine days.
The Win. 20.000+ people, young as old, visited Cluster Square during the nine days. More than 25 different cultural and creatives clusters from Aarhus were involved in the project. Across media channels, Cluster Square got a total of 10, reaching out to a total of 100.000+ readers.
